Big Idea: There is no true restoration without genuine repentance

Repentance: a heart level genuine turning from sin and authentically turning towards God
Genuine Repentance Recognizes:
1) The Real Problem Is Me (v. 1-4)
“If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

2) Only God Can Truly Cleanse Me (v. 1-7)
The Road Of Repentance:
1) Acknowledge My Sin
2) Confess My Sin
3) Turn Away From Sin
4) Turn To God
5) Make Restoration For My Sin

3) Restoration Is Possible For Me (v. 7-19)
3 Fruits Of Repentance:
1) True Joy (v. 8; 12)
2) Complete Renewal (v. 10-12)
3) Authentic Revival (v. 12-19)
4) Worship Wholeheartedly (v. 18-23)
