Colossians 4:7-18
Big Idea: God’s grace is always with me and always enough for me
Gods Grace:
1. Covers my past so I don’t give up (v. 10)
“I am not the man I ought to be, I am not the man I wish to be, and I am not the man I hope to be, but by the grace of God, I am not the man I used to be.”
-John Newton
2. Is sufficient for my present so I don’t give in (v. 14)
Am I Seeking Sufficiency In God’s Grace Or The World? (1 John 2:16)
1) What Brings Me Joy?
2) Where Are My Eyes Focused?
3) What/Who Am I Boasting In?
“But God said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
-2 Corinthians 12:9-10
3. Gives me hope for the future so I give my all (v. 15-18)
How To Give All To Share God’s Grace To All:
1) Stewardship (v. 15, 17)
2) Sacrifice (v. 18)
