Isaiah 52:13-53:12
Big Idea: Focusing on the Lamb of God fills me with hope from God
Behold The Lamb:
1. See Him Rejected (53:1-3)
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
– Philippians 2:5-8
2. See Him Suffering (53:4-7)
Because Of Jesus’ Sacrifice:
1) I Don’t Walk Alone (V. 4)
2) I Can Have Peace (V. 5)
3) I Am Healed (V. 5)
3. See Him Exalted (52:13; 53:10-12)
“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
– Philippians 2:9-11
3 Hope Giving Realities:
1) Jesus saves me (v. 11)
2) Jesus sees me (v. 10)
3) Jesus prays for me (v. 12)
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured from sinners such hostility against Himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.”
-Hebrews 12:1b-3
