1 John 1:5-10
Big Idea: By The Grace Of God We Can Have Fellowship With God As We Confess Our Sins Through Believing In Jesus Christ As Our Lord And Savior
“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”

“In Him (Jesus) was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Two conditions for experiencing fellowship with God:
1) The cleansing of our sin by Jesus through faith (v. 6-7)
“And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, He has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him.”

2) The confessing of our sin to Jesus in faith (v. 8-10)
“Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’”
