Since making disciples is the mission of the Church, all the ministries of the church support and serve this mission. The intentional direction of our small groups must always be the discipleship of our members.
So why do we do small groups? Harvest isn’t just a church with small groups…we’re a church of smalls groups! At Harvest Bible Chapel Annapolis our focus is on the quality of discipleship. We encourage those in our fellowship to “get connected” by plugging into one of our small groups. The purpose of these groups is to minister to and encourage one another in daily devotionals, effective prayer and mutual accountability.
HOW LARGE ARE THE GROUPS?
Groups typically range anywhere from 6-14 people.
WHEN DO THE GROUPS MEET?
They meet every week, on various days and times. We currently have multiple small groups meeting in Annapolis (Tuesday), Odenton (Monday), Catonsville (Tuesday), Gambrills (Tuesday), Severna Park (Thursday), and Edgewater (Thursday). We also are continually praying and planning for the multiplication of our Small Groups.
WHICH GROUP SHOULD I ATTEND?
There are four factors to consider when determining which small group to attend:
HOW CAN I BEGIN TO ATTEND?
We ask that you contact the small group leader prior to your visiting. He will give you all the information you need about the group.
WILL MY SMALL GROUP EVER CHANGE? CAN I EVER CHANGE GROUPS?
Yes! Every group changes as it grows. When a group grows to a certain size it will multiply into two groups. This is a healthy and exciting reality of strong small groups.
After committing to a Small Group, people do, on occasion, change groups by seeking direction from their group leader and/or a pastor.
